De rest kreeg \u201cnormale ritten\u201d. De toppers voelden zich onmisbaar (\u201czonder mij redden ze het niet\u201d), maar begonnen ook op te raken. De anderen leerden nooit hoe je met kritische klanten omgaat. Niet \u201csucces ermee\u201d, maar: dit is de klant, dit vinden ze belangrijk, z\u00f3 hou je ze rustig als er vertraging dreigt. Na de rit bespraken ze samen: wat gebeurde er, wat zei je, wat werkte wel\/niet? De druk op de usual suspects zakte. En de planner had meer speelruimte omdat niet alles van twee mensen afhankelijke was. Les: talentontwikkeling is niet \u201ccursussen inkopen\u201d. Het is gecontroleerd laten oefenen op echte situaties, met begeleiding.
